Chord Company Clearway speaker cable received the WHAT HIFI? Best Speaker Cable award in 2015, 2016 and 2017. It combines several materials to provide a level of performance associated with more expensive speaker cables.

The Clearway uses 14 AWG multi-strand oxygen-free copper conductors, suitable for both bookshelf and floorstanding loudspeakers. The conductors are insulated with FEP, which has performance characteristics similar to PTFE. This insulation contributes to the neutrality of the cable. The conductors are arranged as a twisted pair before a soft PVC internal jacket is applied. This helps minimise mechanical noise and positions the 2 contra-wound foil shields in relation to the conductors.

Shielding the speaker cable is intended to preserve subtle musical detail, with particular benefits to system coherence and timing. Clearway is designed to improve the connection between the system and the music.
