Classic 99

The REL Classic 99 is a high-power bass speaker for more capable systems and larger rooms. It builds on the character of the Classic Line with greater power, depth, nuance and resolution, while retaining the room-filling presentation associated with the range.

The cabinet combines Mid-Century Modern design with rich dark walnut veneer. Its walls are up to 32 mm thick, and the veneer is carefully hand-fitted. Natural aluminium badges, softly radiused feet milled from solid billet and a discreet grille-free exterior keep the design restrained. The down-firing 12" driver provides deeper, more expansive bass across the room, creating a broad foundation for music and film that can also be felt in the space.

Designed as a larger-scale alternative for those who enjoyed the original Classic, REL Classic 99 adds power and performance without losing the relaxed, inviting character of the line. It is suited to listening to records or watching films in a room-filling system.

The design language follows the REL Classic 98 stablemate, with Mid-Century Modern simplicity carried through to the rear amplifier panel. Its controls are finished in white gold, while the solid feel of each control and the precise click of the phase switch reflect the attention given to the cabinet and internal components.
