Classic 1/2 Standmount Speakers

The Spendor Classic 1/2 is a 3-way reflex stand-mount loudspeaker, designed and manufactured in Britain. The Classic range has been developed over more than five decades and is calibrated and matched to broadcast reference standard.

Introduced in 2017 following the response to the flagship Spendor SP200, the Classic 1/2 uses a new generation of Spendor drive units with advanced polymer and Kevlar cones, cast magnesium alloy chassis, high-efficiency motor systems, optimised electro-dynamic damping and thermal dissipation. The crossover networks have been refined, while the cabinet structure incorporates new elastomer panel damping and a magnetic grille.

Its bass drivers use Kevlar composite stabiliser domes, and the drive units include new Spendor EP77 polymer cones. The cabinet is available in 2 natural veneer finishes, Cherry and Dark Walnut. The design retains the warmth and charm associated with the 70s originals while providing transparency and dynamic contrast.
