Solid 1.25% Silver Conductors

Solid conductors limit the electrical and magnetic interaction found in stranded cables, helping to maintain signal integrity. AudioQuest uses Long-Grain Copper conductors with 1.25% silver plating, positioning the highly conductive silver at the conductor surface, where high-frequency digital signals travel. This construction supports noise dissipation and signal transmission while maintaining a balance between performance and value.

Metal-Layer Noise-Dissipation System

Effective shielding requires more than complete coverage. AudioQuest's Metal-Layer Noise-Dissipation System is designed to stop radio-frequency interference from contaminating the equipment's ground reference. Instead of allowing captured RF energy to pass directly into the ground, where it may introduce distortion, the system absorbs and reflects unwanted noise before it reaches the grounding layer. This provides a cleaner signal path with less interference.

Hard-Cell Foam Insulation

Hard-Cell Foam insulation maintains precise conductor geometry for consistent electrical performance along the cable. Nitrogen-injected air pockets reduce energy absorption within the insulation, limiting the release of stored energy that may cause signal distortion. The rigid structure also maintains stable conductor spacing and impedance for cleaner, more accurate signal transmission.

Cold-Welded, Gold-Plated Terminations

AudioQuest's cold-welded, gold-plated connectors are designed to maintain signal integrity without solder, which can be a source of distortion. A high-pressure cold-welding process forms a secure, low-resistance connection. The stamped ground shells use metals selected for their electrical performance rather than ease of machining, providing a durable connection with reduced distortion and long-term reliability.
