Solid 1.25% Silver Conductors

Solid conductors reduce the electrical and magnetic interactions that occur within stranded cables, helping to preserve signal integrity. AudioQuest enhances its Long-Grain Copper (LGC) conductors with a 1.25% silver plating, placing the highly conductive silver where high-frequency digital signals travel most, along the conductor's surface. This design improves noise dissipation and signal transmission while offering an efficient balance of performance and value.

Metal-Layer Noise-Dissipation System

Effective shielding involves more than simply achieving complete coverage. AudioQuest's Metal-Layer Noise-Dissipation System is engineered to prevent radio-frequency interference (RFI) from contaminating the equipment's ground reference. Rather than allowing captured RF energy to drain directly into the ground, where it can introduce distortion, the system absorbs and reflects unwanted noise before it reaches the grounding layer. The result is a cleaner signal path with reduced interference and improved overall performance.

Hard-Cell Foam Insulation

Hard-Cell Foam (HCF) insulation maintains precise conductor geometry, ensuring consistent electrical performance throughout the cable. Nitrogen-injected air pockets significantly reduce energy absorption within the insulation, minimizing the release of stored energy that can introduce signal distortion. The material's rigid structure also preserves stable conductor spacing and impedance, resulting in cleaner, more accurate signal transmission.

Cold-Welded, Gold-Plated Terminations

AudioQuest's cold-welded, gold-plated connectors are engineered to maximize signal integrity by eliminating the need for solder, a common source of distortion. Instead, a high-pressure cold-welding process creates a secure, low-resistance connection. The stamped ground shells are manufactured from metals selected for their superior electrical performance rather than ease of machining, providing a durable connection with reduced distortion and long-term reliability.
