Cadenza Bronze
The Ortofon Cadenza Bronze uses a Replicant 100 stylus with a conical aluminium cantilever, distinguishing this moving-coil cartridge within the Cadenza range. Its Aucurum coil wire and Field Stabilizing Element support linearity during complex crescendo passages, while the design presents stereo information across all 3 dimensions.

The Ortofon Cadenza Bronze is a high-end moving-coil cartridge with a Replicant 100 stylus, a conical aluminium cantilever and an extruded aluminium housing. It is the 3rd cartridge in the Cadenza Series, which also includes Red, Blue, Black and Mono (White) variants within Ortofon’s colour-tier nomenclature.
The Cadenza Series uses cobalt-iron pole pieces and improved winding processes on the armature, alongside other changes intended to outperform the preceding ranges. The Cadenza Bronze uses Ortofon Aucurum coil wire, a gold-plated version of the widely used 6NX copper wire. Its Field Stabilizing Element, or FSE, is designed to optimise linearity, particularly during complex crescendo passages, making the cartridge well suited to classical music.
Ortofon takes the name Cadenza from the Italian word for cadence. In a concert, a cadenza is the passage in which the orchestra stops, leaving the soloist to play alone in free time without a strict, regular pulse. It may be written or improvised and is usually the most elaborate and virtuosic section performed by the solo instrument during the piece.
The Cadenza Bronze is intended as a high-end reference cartridge, conveying music with precision, impact and dynamic range. Its stereo imaging presents the soundstage in all 3 dimensions, including its furthest areas, for an involving and detailed performance.
