Brave Heart Full-Range 3m

Brave Heart combines a range of external and internal design details intended to support its performance and value.

Externally, Brave Heart is nearly the same size as AudioQuest's Mythical speaker cables, with an OD just 0.6mm smaller. Internally, it contains almost a third more of the same Perfect-Surface Copper+ conductor metal used in previous models, making it a slightly junior Mythical Creature. Its separate round constructions for the positive and negative sides also make it easier to handle.

The larger overall size provides greater “torque”, supporting a firm, controlled presentation, particularly in the lower frequencies. Damping factor is better preserved over length, which is especially relevant to speakers with very low impedance at some frequencies, often in the bass, and to speakers with ported 4th-order enclosures that depend on strong amplifier control.

Brave Heart uses upgraded polypropylene insulation to linearise and extend the bandwidth of its noise dissipation. The optimised insulation places the conductors farther apart, reducing the out-of-focus and harsh-sounding effects associated with distributed-capacitance distortion. Thicker layers of Carbon-Loaded PVC, newly added Graphene and 4% silver shield drain wires further improve RF-noise dissipation.

These features are combined with AudioQuest design elements including solid conductors, which prevent strand interaction, and direction-controlled conductors, which drain RF noise away from vulnerable amplifier circuitry. The cable also includes AudioQuest's 72v Dielectric-Bias System to reduce the effects of induced RF noise and timing errors associated with dielectric noise. The cable dressing, breakouts and plug barrels contain no RF-relaying metal. Cold-welded, gas-tight connections are made to Red Copper spades or bananas.

Brave Heart brings these materials, construction methods and technologies together in a single speaker cable design.

• ZERO-Tech (No Characteristic Impedance): ZERO-Tech prevents characteristic-impedance mismatch effects between the cable and its attached source and load circuits by eliminating any electrostatic field between the high and low signal conductors. This enables uncompressed current transfer, leaves transient current unrestricted and linearises RF-noise dissipation from octave to octave.
• Solid Perfect-Surface Copper+ Conductors (PSC+): High-purity PSC+ conductors prevent strand interaction, a significant source of transient intermodulation distortion. PSC+ conductors also reduce harshness and increase clarity compared with OFHC, OCC, 8N and other premium coppers.
• Level 7 Linear Noise-Dissipation: RF noise from satellites, cellular networks and WiFi is addressed through Brave Heart's Graphene and Carbon Mesh-Network, ZERO-Tech, direction-controlled metal, 72v DBS and silver-plated shield drains.
• 72v Dielectric-Bias System (DBS) with RF Noise-Trap: The insulation also acts as a dielectric and shunt filter. Biasing the dielectric reduces dielectric noise and linearises the filter, improving wide-bandwidth dissipation of induced noise.
• 4% Silver Shield Drains: These assist with the dissipation of RF noise.
• Cold-Welded Red-Copper Spades or Bananas: Cold-welding avoids heat and materials such as solder that can contribute to distortion. The bare parts are submerged in silver rather than tumbled in a lower-grade solution. Speaker breakouts and plug casings are synthetic rather than metal, avoiding the induction of RF noise into the conductors.
• Directionality: Drawn metal strands and conductors have a non-symmetrical, directional grain structure. AudioQuest controls the resulting RF impedance variation so that noise is drained away from areas where it could cause distortion. Direction-controlled conductors are a fundamental part of AudioQuest's Noise-Dissipation technology.
