ZERO-Tech, with no characteristic impedance, for linear, wide-bandwidth noise dissipation
A cable can avoid characteristic-impedance mismatch effects between its source and load circuits only by having no characteristic impedance. ZERO-Tech achieves this by eliminating the electrostatic field between the cable’s high and low signal conductors. This enables linear, consistent-octave-to-octave RF noise dissipation and uncompressed transients. To maintain complete isolation between the signal conductors, a Dual-72v DBS pack is included for Pegasus, ThunderBird, FireBird and Dragon XLR cables.

Foamed Polyethylene Insulation
Any solid material next to a conductor forms part of an imperfect circuit. Wire insulation and circuit-board materials absorb energy, some of which is stored and released as distortion. Air absorbs almost no energy, while polyethylene is low-loss and has a benign distortion profile. Foamed-PE, with its high air content, therefore causes less of the out-of-focus effect associated with other materials.
