Furutech

Audio Reference III

The Furutech Audio Reference III centres on double-shielded α (Alpha)-OCC conductors, with Formula GC-303 antimagnetic EMI-absorbent modules and air-foamed HDPE insulation. This construction reduces radiated noise, capacitance and vibration, supporting greater resolution, clarity and dynamics with a quieter soundstage and deeper, tighter bass.

The Furutech Audio Reference III is an interconnect cable available with RCA or XLR connectors. It uses double-shielded α (Alpha)-OCC conductors to reduce radiated noise, with Formula GC-303 antimagnetic EMI-absorbent modules surrounding each cable. The α (Alpha) conductor is made from fine PCOCC wire strands treated with Furutech’s α (Alpha) cryogenic and demagnetising process.

Air-foamed HDPE insulation reduces capacitance and damps vibration. Shield 1 is a 0.12 mm α (Alpha) conductor wire braid, while Shield 2 uses Formula GC-303 modules for noise isolation. This construction is intended to provide greater resolution, clarity and dynamic power, with a quiet soundstage in which music develops without artificial upper-frequency “presence region” glare. GC-303 supports deeper, tighter bass, helping to define the venue of the original recording. Natural, unforced detail reveals nuance and energy.

RCA features:

  • High-performance rhodium-plated RCA connectors, FP-106 (R).
  • Centre filament pin, FP-106 (R), made from nonmagnetic rhodium-plated phosphor bronze with a Teflon dielectric.
  • RCA connector backbone made from nonmagnetic rhodium-plated eutectic cast brass.
  • Nonmagnetic brass outer locking shell with a finished surface.
  • Double-shielded α (Alpha)-OCC conductors.
  • Formula GC-303 antimagnetic EMI-absorbent modules surrounding each cable.
  • Shield 1, 0.12 mm α (Alpha) conductor wire braid.
  • Shield 2, Formula GC-303 EMI-absorbent modules for noise isolation.
  • Air-foamed HDPE insulation to reduce capacitance and damp vibration.
