The Spendor A4.2 is a slim floorstanding loudspeaker developed as a refined version of the A4. It continues the design approach of the earlier model while applying further development and precision engineering to its sound and construction.
At its centre is the proprietary 18cm Spendor EP77 polymer cone bass/mid drive unit, mounted in a slim chassis. This arrangement is intended to produce room-filling sound with projection, character and a scale beyond the loudspeaker’s size.
The A4.2 uses a brand-new soft dome wide surround rear-chambered 27mm tweeter, partnered with a refined crossover network. Together, these changes provide a more open, dynamic and natural high-frequency response, while developing the qualities of the original A4 for a more engaging listening experience.
Four elegant contemporary finishes are available. Its discreet, understated appearance allows the Spendor A4.2 to sit naturally within a range of room décors. The loudspeaker is designed and manufactured in the UK.
