The A30

The Aurender A30 includes full MQA Decoder technology for playback of full-resolution MQA audio files and streams. It combines CD ripping, a high-quality headphone amplifier, 10TB of internal storage, an ultra-wide colour LCD display, and integrated software for metadata editing and library management. Aurender designed the A30 as a comprehensive digital source component, with functions not usually found in a typical music server.

Integrated Dual-Mono Full Decoder MQA DAC with Fully Discrete Linear Power Supplies

Aurender engineered the A30’s 768KHz/32bit dual-mono DAC around the AKM AK4497 DAC chipset, with separate dual-mono linear power supplies. The design is intended to provide high resolution, transparency and reproduction of inner detail, while retaining the simplicity of an all-in-one component. Full MQA Decoder technology supports playback of MQA audio files and streams.

Flexible Volume Adjustment

When used as a preamplifier, the A30’s volume can be adjusted using the front-panel rotary control, the iPad app or the supplied IR remote control. When connected to a preamplifier, the variable output can be set to fixed direct output in the settings.

High-Performance Headphone Amplifier

The A30 incorporates a high-quality headphone amplifier suitable for use with a wide range of headphones. 3 headphone jacks accommodate balanced and unbalanced connections, including those used with upgraded aftermarket cables.

Balanced (XLR) / Unbalanced (RCA) Audio Outputs

Balanced and unbalanced outputs are provided for connection to a preamplifier or power amplifier. When the A30 is connected directly to a power amplifier, the analogue output can be adjusted to match the amplifier’s sensitivity. The balanced output can be set to 4.0Vrms or 5.4Vrms. The unbalanced output can be set to 2.0Vrms or 2.7Vrms.

10TB Hard Disk Drive Storage with Solid-State Drive Cache for Playback

The A30’s internal 3.5″ hard drive provides 10TB of storage, while a separate 480GB solid-state drive caches music for playback. If a selected song or album is already cached, the hard drive remains asleep, reducing wear on the main library drive. Caching also removes the electrical and acoustic noise associated with spinning disks, moving heads and motors during playback.
