Functional Finesse

A200 replaces A100 as Aurender’s most compact and economical analogue output network player. It combines a low-power Intel quad-core processor, low-noise linear power supply, MQA Full-Decoder DAC and adaptive storage system to support high-resolution digital files and streams. Its machined aluminium chassis includes a 6.9” colour LCD display.

A200 incorporates Aurender’s latest-generation innovations, including a single-stereo implementation of the AKM4490 MQA Full-Decoder DAC, coaxial and Toslink digital inputs, 2x isolated gigabit Ethernet ports and a super-capacitor-based uninterruptible power supply. Two compartments accept user-installable storage drives, providing internal library capacity.

MQA Full-Decoder DAC On Board

Aurender designed A200 as an all-in-one unit for users seeking a straightforward digital audio system with high resolution, transparency and retrieval of inner detail. Its integrated AKM4490 DAC module provides full MQA decoding, alongside support for other major digital audio formats.

FPGA-Based Precision Clock

A200’s precision clock generation system uses a Field-Programmable Gate Array, or FPGA, with a sub-100fs jitter-reducing clock generator. This precisely times digital audio data transmissions and reduces jitter to negligible levels.

Digital Connectivity

Coaxial and optical digital inputs allow additional sources, such as a CD transport or television, to be connected. Devices connected in this way use the DAC within A200.

Linear Power Supply with Integrated UPS

A fully linear power supply architecture with extensive shielding helps prevent noise reaching the DACs. Discrete toroidal transformers power the server system, digital outputs and DAC separately. A super-capacitor-based UPS system stabilises A200 in the event of an abrupt power loss.

Variable Output RCA Outputs

A200’s single-ended RCA outputs use DAC-level lossless volume control, allowing it to function as a preamplifier when connected directly to a power amplifier.

User-Installable Storage Options

A200 has 2 trays for user-installable storage. Each can accommodate an 8TB SSD, or both trays can be left empty for users who prefer to stream rather than store music files.
