The Spendor A2.2 is a compact floorstanding loudspeaker that combines the musical character of the bookshelf A1.2 with additional bass extension. At 79cm tall, it is designed for straightforward placement in a range of rooms, including smaller spaces.
The A2.2 builds on the original A2 with changes to its internal architecture, particularly the bracing. This restructured bracing strengthens the cabinet and reduces unwanted resonances that can colour the sound. The result is a floorstander with a natural tonal balance, clear detail, well-defined rhythm and dynamic capability.
Measuring 786mm in height and 258mm in depth, the Spendor A2.2 can be positioned close to a wall, providing a range of set-up options. Its proprietary 15cm EP77 polymer bass/mid cone is designed to produce a natural sound free from colouration, with detail remaining audible at all listening levels.
