The 801 D4 Signature is a developed version of Bowers & Wilkins' most advanced loudspeaker. It combines evolved technology, considered design and distinctive finishes. It is the flagship loudspeaker in the range.

Diamond Dome tweeter

The Diamond Dome tweeter combines low mass with high stiffness and accuracy. Introduced 15 years ago, this tweeter dome technology remains part of the 801 D4 Signature design.

Solid Body Tweeter

The Solid Body Tweeter-on-Top housing has an elongated form, a longer tube-loading system and a new tweeter grille design. These elements are intended to provide a more open presentation at high frequencies.

Upgraded crossover

The 801 D4 Signature uses upgraded rear-mounted crossover assemblies on rigid aluminium spines. This arrangement isolates the capacitors from air pressure within the enclosure, while the aluminium structure acts as a heatsink during use.

Aluminium top-plate

Each 800 Series Signature model has an upgraded cabinet with an optimised aluminium top section for increased stiffness. It also provides a mounting point for Leather by Connolly cabinet detailing, with full-grain blue leather on Midnight Blue Metallic models and full-grain black leather on California Burl Gloss models.
