Bryston engineers, led by Chris Russell, developed a number of significant improvements over the SST² series, including:
- Dramatically reduced distortion at the input stage
- Improved common-mode noise rejection
- Enhanced EMI/RFI noise rejection
- Standby power consumption of less than 500mW
- Updated front-panel design with cleaner lines and a new finish
