Designed for high frequencies
Carbon Dome tweeters are developed specifically for the 700 Series. Compared with the aluminium double dome tweeter, they raise the breakup threshold to 47kHz for precise imaging and detailed reproduction.
Composite cone construction
The Continuum™ cone’s composite construction avoids the abrupt changes in behaviour found in conventional drive units. This supports an open, neutral presentation of voices and instruments with precision and transparency.
Dedicated midrange
Each 3-way loudspeaker in the new 700 Series has a dedicated midrange cone incorporating 4 Bowers & Wilkins technologies: the Continuum cone, FST™, Biomimetic Suspension and midrange decoupling. The latter reduces interference from the loudspeaker’s bass drivers.
Variable-thickness bass cone
Developed using advanced computer modelling, the Aerofoilâ„¢ Profile bass cone has variable thickness to provide stiffness and rigidity where required. This delivers deep, dynamic bass.
